It is inexpensive, easy to use and the cartridges are neat and come in several colors. It is not quite as fine as a professional artist's pen but is very good for basic use. This nib size expands my range for dashing off a quick lettered postcard or for slower, more serious work. I've started using the Pilot Pens more frequently as they are inked and ready to go, which takes away the barrier of preparing a workspace with all the cleaning supplies. I bought the Pilot Parallel Pen 3.8 to be able to do calligraphy outside my home and just really enjoy the pens! I use the pens for French Roundhand, Uncial and am now learning Fraktur with the pens. They are different than dip pens, so they take a little getting used to but & really enjoy being able to take them with me to write! 5 Pilot Pens Posted by James Worden II on Jan 13th 2022 These are great tools!
